Ritter Sport is the brand of chocolate from Alfred Ritter & Co. GmbH. The founder of the company is Alfred Ritter, who fell in love with Clara Gottle in 1912. She was fond of sweet just like him. Shortly they got married and started their own business. Clara owned a small confectionery, while Alfred was dedicated to the experiments with chocolate, creating new variations and blends. That was Clara who offered the make a pocket size chocolate bar to fit into any sport jacket without breaking. The idea was approved during the family meeting. Today such minibars are extremely popular all over the world. The number of flavors is remarkable – from classic to special varieties.
