dfm Company along with Godet, the premium cognac producer, held competition for the selection of the Best salesman of the brand’s products. The prize was a trip to France. According to the results Gennady Gramovich and Michael Guzun, the sales managers of DutyFree at Chisinau Airport, became the winners of the contest. The trip was sponsored personally by the founder of the famous cognac house – Jean-Jacques Godet. The trip lasted two days from 2d to 4th of June, 2015.

The guys told about their time spending. Gennady Gramovich: “In Poitiers, the city in France, we were welcomed by Jean-Jacques Godet, the head of the House, who got us into his estate. So we turned out to be in a real castle of 18 century, owned by the Godet dynasty. We spent the whole day here, and Godet together with his son shared interesting facts from the history of their family, as well as unfolded the specifics of his cognac’s production. We were impressed by respectful attitude of the Godet family to the secrets of cognac production, which have been followed by them for eight generation already.”

Michael Guzun told what was after. “The next day we went to La Rochelle, southwest France, where Fort Boyard is located. We visited The House of Godet and saw the process of the cognac’s production – maturing, bottling, packing and transporting to different places of the world. The excursion ended with a tasting of various cognacs from the Godet collection. We could grasp how aging period influences the flavor intensity of drink. Then we went to Cognac, the commune in France and saw beautiful infinite fields, where the best grapes grow. We also visited one of the villages: French countrymen demonstrated the distillation kettle and storehouses with oak casks filled with premium spirits.”

dfm employees looked back with nostalgia on third and the last day of the trip, dedicated to beach-related rest. The guys spent this day at the beach La Rochelle, getting into total chillout.

It should be mentioned that such contests for dfm employees are carried out regularly. Motivational events allow raising the level of customer service. Such system stimulates salesmen constantly enrich their knowledge which they share with clients.
